Terms of use
01Purpose
These terms govern the use of GO4LEARN, a school revision service published by FNT TECH SARL, Bonapriso, Carrefour Hydrocarbure, Douala, Cameroon. GO4LEARN is distributed within the GO4SCHOOL app and on the service's website.
Creating an account means accepting these terms.
02Who can sign up
Parents or guardians, secondary pupils and competitive-exam candidates sign up on their own. A primary pupil has no account in their own name: they are signed up by a parent or guardian.
The chosen class determines the path. The service never asks for the user's age.
03An adult's consent
The account of a user under 18 requires an adult's consent, given with a code received by SMS. There is no intermediate age threshold.
Five permissions are collected separately: use of the service, which is required, then messages, visibility to teachers, the national ranking and supervision of rewarded papers. Each of the four optional permissions can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the rest of the service.
04What the service does
GO4LEARN gives access to quizzes, exercises, papers and past papers linked to Cameroon's official curriculum, to spaced review, to mock exams whose duration is kept by the server, and to the option of asking a subject teacher a question.
In the app, chapters and past papers can be kept on the phone. The size of each download is shown beforehand, and nothing is downloaded unless the user asks.
05What the service doesn't do
GO4LEARN doesn't replace the teacher, doesn't handle homework set by the school, and guarantees no academic result and no improvement in marks.
The service promises no real competitive-exam ranking: it only measures the candidates who use it. Offline use is for the app only; it isn't available on the web.
06Content and review
Content is produced by teachers and goes through a review queue. Nothing is published on GO4LEARN without being reviewed by a qualified person. AI-assisted content is declared as such and reviewed through the same process.
A teacher who submits content keeps authorship and grants FNT TECH SARL a licence to use it within the service. No remuneration is owed under these terms.
07Protection of minors
Minor users appear in public as "First name I.". The national ranking is only visible with the adult's consent. There is no open messaging, no advertising and no purchase screen on the child's side.
Exchanges with an adult are logged and sharing contact details is blocked. A report suspends the adult's ability to write to any child while the report is examined.
08The account and its security
Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential. On a shared phone, up to six profiles can coexist and each child picks up their session with a four-digit code; this code is not a strong authentication method.
An existing account is never duplicated: it gains an additional access.
09Expected behaviour
The following are forbidden: cheating on papers, tampering with the device clock, publishing unlawful or misleading content, collecting other users' data and any attempt to harm the service.
Paper timers run on the server; changing the phone's time grants no extra time.
10Notifications
The service sends at most two reminders a day, never after 8 pm. The service's mascot is never used for commercial purposes. Reports for parents are sent by notification and by email.
11Personal data
Data is processed solely to provide the service. The parent receives the child's attendance — time spent on exercises and active days — and not their marks, answers or mistakes.
Requests for access, correction and deletion are handled under the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
12Suspension and termination
FNT TECH SARL may suspend an account for a serious breach of these terms, after informing the user where possible. Users may request the deletion of their account at any time.
13Availability
The service is provided as is, with a best-efforts obligation. Interruptions may occur for maintenance or external causes, particularly network issues. Answers given offline are sent when the network returns and are not deleted before the server receives them.
14Changes to the terms
These terms may be changed. Any substantial change is announced in the service before it takes effect.
15Governing law
These terms are governed by Cameroonian law. The courts of Douala have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
